NFES – 1 Day Seminar

Geo-Mechanics

(Petrophysicists Under Stress)

5th of November, 2008 at the Quality Airport Hotel, Sola

This is the first call for abstracts for our 1-day seminar on geo-mechanics that will be held in Stavanger the 5th of November. We are interested in presentations covering all aspects related to geo-mechanics, including, but not limited to:

• Wellbore Stability
• Data Acquisition
• Real Time Monitoring of Stress and Pore Pressure
• Log-Core Calibration of Geo-Mechanical Properties
• Core Laboratory Measurements and Modeling
• Integration of log, core, seismic and drilling data for improved Geomechanical modeling
• Prediction of Stress and Rock Strength in depleted reservoirs
• Prediction of Stress and Rock Strength in areas with limited well data
• Geo-Mechanical modeling for improved Perforation Strategies
• Uncertainties in Geo-Mechanical modeling
• Case studies from exploration, field under development, fields in production (depleted reservoirs)
• Geo-mechanical issues related to subsidence
• R&D

You will be notified if your abstracts have been approved by 22nd September.

For presenters and NFES sponsors there will be assigned a dedicated area for posters and commercials if that is of interest. It will be possible to access the posters during coffee breaks and lunch.
